Foot: le Real Madrid toujours en tête du Football Money League (Deloitte)

With €1.161 billion in revenue generated during the 2024-2025 season, a new record, Real Madrid is still at the top of the "Football Money League" ranking published Thursday by the firm Deloitte, while PSG loses one place (4th).

FC Barcelona, 6th the previous year, returns to the podium (2nd) for the first time since the 2019-2020 season with nearly one billion in revenue (974 million euros), ahead of Bayern Munich (more than 860 million EUR).

Paris SG, third in the last edition of the ranking, falls one place, with 837 million euros, a slight increase compared to the previous year (836 million euros).

For the first time since 2020-2021, PSG is the only French club in the Top 20 of this ranking, which last year included Marseille and Lyon, notably due to the TV rights crisis in France.

Liverpool is for the first time the English club with the highest revenue (€836M), and jumps from 8th to 5th place.

In 2026, these 20 clubs in the "Football Money League" reported combined revenues of 12.4 billion euros, a record and an 11% increase compared to the 2023-2024 season.

Deloitte's study is based on three revenue streams to establish its ranking: ticket sales, TV rights, and commercial revenue.

For the third consecutive year, commercial revenues represent the largest share of club revenues (€5.3 billion, or 43% of the total).

TV rights revenues are up sharply, by 10%, and represent 38% of total revenues.

This increase, explains Deloitte, is mainly due to the TV rights for the Club World Cup, expanded to 32 teams, the first edition of which took place last summer in the United States.

Clubs that participated in this World Cup have seen a 17% increase in their TV rights revenue.

In women's football, the 15 clubs with the highest revenues generated a total revenue exceeding 150 million euros for the first time (158 million EUR).

The ranking is dominated by Arsenal, winners of the Champions League (€25.6M), with a 43% increase in revenue compared to the previous season, ahead of Chelsea (€25.4M) and Barcelona (€22M).
