Maroc : le roi Mohamed VI gracie les supporters sénégalais
Very good news for Senegalese fans detained in Morocco. King Mohammed VI has just granted them a pardon, allowing them to spend the Tabaski festival at home.
"Given the centuries-old fraternal relations that bind the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, and on the occasion of the advent of Eid Al Adha, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, has graciously granted, for humanitarian reasons, His Royal Pardon to the Senegalese supporters convicted of offences committed during the Africa Cup of Nations competitions," the King's office announced in a press release seen by Seneweb.
Thus, through this Decision, King Mohammed VI intends to magnify the depth of the ties of friendship, fraternity and cooperation uniting the Kingdom of Morocco with the Republic of Senegal.
"This Grace further illustrates the permanence of the cardinal values that underpin Moroccan identity, foremost among them clemency, benevolence, generosity and the spirit of tolerance," the statement said.
