Mali : Plus de 20.000 unités d’explosifs interceptées
Mali's General Directorate of Customs announced the interception on Tuesday of 20,952 units of explosives hidden on board a vehicle at the Bénéna border post in the center of the country.
The explosives were hidden under bags of food and cartons of alcoholic and energy drinks. The vehicle, which came from a coastal country not bordering Mali, had been tracked by Malian authorities since its departure, based on intelligence shared by another neighboring country.
The operation was carried out by the Directorate of Intelligence and the Fight against Fraud, which welcomed the decisive action in the fight against explosives trafficking.
