Meurtre de Charlie Kirk : le procureur annonce demander la peine capitale contre Tyler Robinson
The prosecutor announced Tuesday that he is seeking the death penalty against Tyler Robinson, charged with the murder of American conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
Tyler Robinson, the alleged murderer of American conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, has been charged with murder, local prosecutor Jeffrey Gray announced Tuesday, adding that he would seek the death penalty.
Tyler Robinson faces seven counts, including murder, "for intentionally or knowingly causing the death of Charlie Kirk under circumstances that resulted in a great risk of death to others," the Utah County district attorney said at a news conference.
"This guy spreads too much hate"
Charlie Kirk's alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, justified his actions by citing the "hatred" he said the conservative influencer spread, local prosecutor Jeffrey Gray said, citing statements made to his relatives. "This guy spreads too much hate," Tyler Robinson told his parents, referring to Charlie Kirk, to explain his actions, the Utah County prosecutor said at a press conference.
"I've had enough of this hatred. There is a hatred that cannot be compromised," he also wrote in a message to the person he lived with, the prosecutor added.
Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck on Wednesday, September 10, while moderating a debate on a university campus in Utah, in the western part of the country. The tragedy highlighted the deep political divisions in America.
The 31-year-old American right-wing figure used his millions of followers on social media and his university appearances to defend Donald Trump and spread his nationalist, Christian and traditionalist ideas on the family to young people.
The US president, who owes much to Charlie Kirk for his victory over Kamala Harris last November, was quick to denounce the rhetoric of the "radical left" accused of being, at least in part, responsible for the assassination.

Israël trouvera une manière de s'indigner d'une peine de mort décidée de cette façon. Ou alors Israël va 1cciver ses médias qui vont s'indigner.
