Keur Serigne Diebel : Une foule immense et de hautes personnalités accompagnent l'ancienne députée Fanta Sall à sa dernière demeure
Emotions ran high this Thursday in Keur Serigne Diebel, where former MP Fanta Sall was taken to her final resting place. An impressive crowd, made up of relatives, political leaders, religious and administrative authorities, as well as ordinary citizens, paid a vibrant tribute to her.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of high-ranking figures who came to express their solidarity and gratitude to the illustrious deceased. Among them were former President of the National Assembly Amadou Mame Diop, former ministers Pape Malick Ndour and Abdoulaye Saydou Sow, as well as a large delegation sent by President of the National Assembly El Malick Ndiaye, led by MP Samba Dan.
Delegations from religious cities in Koungheul department, from the APR – her political party – but also from other political parties also took part in the funeral, thus reflecting the unanimity around the deceased and her commitment.
The family of Moutalib Atidjani marked the ceremony with a large delegation. Their representative led the funeral prayer, in an atmosphere marked by solemnity and contemplation.
The testimonies gathered were unanimous: Fanta Sall was a woman of heart, committed, available, and deeply social. Her parliamentary colleagues, party comrades, religious leaders, and residents of the Koungheul department recalled with emotion her many actions in favor of local development, the advancement of women, and the support of young people.
Beyond her two terms as a member of the National Assembly, Fanta Sall will be remembered as a woman close to the people and a political figure whose human and social legacy will continue to inspire. Her passing leaves a huge void, but her memory remains etched in the minds of Koungheul and the Senegalese nation.
