CHAN 2025 : le Maroc se reprend, la Zambie éliminée
After losing their second Group A match to Kenya (1-0), Morocco bounced back by beating Zambia (3-1). In a very open match, the Atlas Lions opened the scoring just seconds before half-time thanks to Rabie Hrimat (45th + 1).
In the second half, the Zambians thought they had equalized, but Nsiku's goal was disallowed for a foul on a Moroccan defender (66th). Morocco then doubled their lead through Lamliou (67th). Despite Phiri reducing the score (70th), the Moroccans would ultimately have the final say with a third goal from Saber Bougrine (90th+5).
With this victory, Morocco (6 pts) climbs to second place behind Kenya (1st, 7 pts). As for Zambia, which concedes a third consecutive defeat, it was eliminated before its last match.
