Droits sociaux en péril : Guy Marius Sagna interpelle le gouvernement sur les cas Radisson et Sen’Eau
MP Guy Marius Sagna denounced on Tuesday, January 13, on his Facebook page, what he described as serious injustices suffered by the workers of the Radisson hotel in Diamniadio and by the Secretary General of the Autonomous Union of Water Technicians of Senegal (SATES), Oumar Ba.
According to him, he visited the workers at the Radisson Hotel in Diamniadio and Oumar Ba a few hours ago. He claims that Ba was prevented from reaching his post at Sen'Eau, while Radisson Hotel workers were allegedly evicted from their workplace.
The parliamentarian expresses his solidarity with the employees of the Radisson hotel and Oumar Ba, whom he considers to be victims of arbitrary measures, referring to an unjustified expulsion for the former and an abusive dismissal for the latter.
In his statement, Guy Marius Sagna calls on the Senegalese government to pay more sustained attention to the situation of workers, believing that these events raise both technical and social concerns related to respect for employee rights.
He finally affirms that he will remain mobilized alongside the workers concerned and the union leader until, in his words, justice is done for them.
These events serve as a reminder that the issue of respecting workers' rights remains a central concern in Senegal, and that silence in the face of injustice, wherever it occurs, cannot be an option.
